CDC Lodgement

A couple of days ago I received an email from our CSA advising that they have lodged our CDC. Awesome! She advised that it will take 2-3 weeks for approval  This was great news!

It also said that our 'site start date' was still for 31/05/2016 which is soon. I thought the date was going to be rescheduled but I guess not!

We were given an approval checklist to make sure that all items below are completed. I think we've done most of them? But it's good to know to make sure that we're prepared:

  • Colour selection appointments completed and finalized 
  • Kitchen selection appointment completed and finalized 
  • Electrical selection appointment completed and finalized 
  • Tiling selection appointments completed and finalized 
  • Plumbing upgrade appointment completed and finalised (if required) 
  • Finalise, sign and return all post contract variations 
  • Proof of land ownership (if not already provided) 
  • Finance details (if not already provided) 
  • Demolition application lodged to council (if applicable) 
  • Provide the “Authority to Commence Construction” (ACC) from your lending authority (if available) 
Or
  • Where bank finance is not applicable, cash clients must demonstrate meeting conditions of the building contract (evidence of funds to cover the final contract price)
Items that are highlighted in red have been completed, and items that blue are not required (for us).

Time to get our finances in order (again)! We just finished doing this with our land loan but lucky we have an awesome broker!
